Irish team prevails in top class polo display Two days of spectacular play in the 14th international ladies polo tournament in ballyhenry, ashford with teams from australia, england and the usa culminated in a win for the irish team on sunday, august 18. Saturday’s dubarry day had an unusual twist with the four teams vying for the greatest goal difference in order to win pairs of handmade polo boots. The usa team took on australia and won with a huge margin of seven goals which the irish team, captained by local girl siobhan herbst needed to better.Playing against the english team they managed only a five goal difference so the boots went to america!
